Everyone in your class is picking up an instrument for the very first time.  For some it will be the easiest thing they’ve ever done, and for some it will be the most difficult thing they’ve ever done.  I think this makes beginning band the most fun class I teach!  By the end of the year you will ALL be surprised at the wonderful sound that your band will make.  No matter how good or bad you are in the beginning the more you practice the better you will get.  Have a great year, focus on the fundamentals of a good sound, and have fun making music.
